Amanda Hancock and Josh Beerman Wedding 8.21.2010

OMAHA NE

Oh Lordy, where do I begin...Lets just start by saying that the Lord is amazing with blessing me with wonderful friends and this trip was such a reinforcement of that. I am so blessed to not only have been Amanda;s friend but I was her photographer as well.

Sad thing was that Me and the picture taking was probably one ...
of the only things that she didn't worry about nor that went wrong. The poor girl had issues with the venue finishing their remodeling on time and they missed the song for the bride to walk down the isle, as well. So much went wrong, but the most important parts could not have been more right. The vows, the family blessings and friends that love both of them were there to support and see this couple join their lives from rehearsal dinner to the reception.

This wedding, by far, had many challenges. Even in the photography department. It was so stinking hot all the bridal party and myself were sweating rivers. Especially me, but I enjoyed it. However, it made the shooting process a bit rushed, but I think for what we had to deal with the images turned out well!

Things I won't forget:

* Danyel's Speech
* Amanda's Smile
* The sweat I constantly kept wiping off my arms and chin
* Handing paper towels to the bridal party constantly
* The car not starting after the shoot (over heated, but sfely started after it took a nap )

* And SO many more!

Lights Out Dancing: Press Photo

Changes are happening all over the place. One of the biggest changes are to the upbeat pop/rock band everyone has known as "Lights Out Dancing" with the same 5 guys: Ryan, Kyle, Mike, Danny and Scott. The same guys that rock to their tunes on stage and create some awesome n'sync moves and performance everyone loves. However, now you will see that after two years two of the members have gone on to do other hearts desires and two new members have joined.

Don't be disappointed the change may have given them a new image but has only made their sound more magnificent. With a new singer, Jordan, from California and a prodigy of a guitarist, Joel, from Wisconsin the new music will have the same feel and make you wanna jump and dance!

The image you see is not as poppy as you are used to seeing them. This image is mainly for press and the photos to come will be more of the super fun conceptual Lights Out Dancing you are used to!

-How it was shot:

2 speedlights/bare
One to left at front man
One to right far from the camera

All The Right Movesfli-The Monster I've Become

Super fun local band, I love these guys they always are so fun to photograph and collaborate ideas with. To top it off they have some killer tunes as well! They have a CD that comes out this Summer called "The Monster In Me" featuring 6 NEW songs and was produced by Jordan Schmidt.

The CD will be released to I-Tunes on June 10th and the will be doing short tour before having a local CD Release party on June 20th at Station 4 in Minneapolis MN.

The photo shoot was truly a flash of lightening to cross my brain because the guys only gave me one week to come up with come up with a collaborative concept to portray with lighting and still make them look mature and fun.

With only one week to work with we had a few ideas and then at the last minute changed ideas and quickly chose a location...which happened to be Braden's house. Right in his teeny tiny living room. I maybe had 13 by 12 feet to work with, (Literally what u see in the picture was the space I had) but the guys were awesome and before I had gotten there they had the room cleaned up and shades covered and all. I never asked them to do anything and it wasn't all necessary but they rocked it out to help the shoot go smoothly and for that I am greatly appreciative!

Once the shoot began we decided we didn't like the couch design so we placed gray sheets over the couch and wanted super bright lighting that popped yet keeping the theme of watching television. So I had one light barely behind and to each end of the couch with 30 and 40 grids on them and a large softbox to light them from the front right above the camera.

Keep rocking it ATRM!! :) - www.myspace.com/alltherightmoves
